Your test for applications.

Maybe it is not my place to complain, but I feel you have a problem with your recruiting system. I did get declined by your system, and I don't want anyone to think I am a sore loser. Python beat me fair and square and I enjoyed the match. Ryon recently made a post which changes the way applicants are accepted to the clan. Before hand python just accessed the skill of applicants by getting them to fight other players. A few players have been accepted and some have been declined so this shows that the system is selective. Players have to be a certain calibre to be accepted to the clan.

But recently Ryon stated that you would have to play a 1v1 with either himself, Blackzap, or Python. and you must score at least 8 points to be accepted. Now this system does work, you will only get the best players, but there are a couple of problems I see with it. Firstly you VZ leaders may not like to admit it but there are skill differences between you. So therefore scoring 8 points against one player will be harder than another. I feel Ryon may have gotten a little out of touch with the grid recently. I don't think he realises how good Python has gotten. VZ want their HR division to expand, but with applicants being required to score 8 points on Python. I can tell you now there is not a single player looking for a clan who can accomplish this. There are very few people with a clan who can manage that. I have played 1v1 with some of the best players and I think Python might have been the hardest fight I have had yet, at least I had the biggest difference in score with him than any other player I have 1v1'd.

Now my second issue. You have changed the system for testing applicants, but what about the players already in the clan, who joined before this new system was introduced? I don't want to mention names but I don't believe some of the new members of VZ could pass this new test that has been introduced. The logical thing to do is to retest them, but personally I would think this would be a fairly unfriendly activity to go through. You would lose members, VZ would go back to its inactive state again and competition on the grid will start dying down again. (I'm sick of Df and Hr being controlled by Rx and ID!) Not to mention you would feel embarrassed and insulted if you were forced to leave because of this. Players earned their positions and don't deserve to be thrown out.

So if you don't retest the current members of VZ then you are being unfair to the new applicants. Better players than some of the current VZ roster could end up getting declined. (I am not saying I am in this group who get declined yet are better than current members.)
Obviously it is up to you leaders of VZ to decide how the clan operates, but I think you should reconsider your application process, because at the moment you are going to be discriminating players on when they applied rather than how skilled the players are.

Ryon believe it or not i totally agree what hes saying here. the clan would lose a lot of members if u had us just 1v1 them with your system. i have obtained a lot more skill since you've been gone and i really think its unfair for me and zap to test the new recruits by a 1v1. some of these players have been playing 2x longer then us and there getting declined, and believe it or not their not noobs there really good actually. Skill shouldn't be decided by a 1v1 because in a 1v1 the other person just probably has a better strategy and tactic to win and that's more of a team oriented strategy; which i thought vZ was.

No one would ever get accepted into vZ at this rate; well only the best people that is, and theirs not to many of those. By the way, i'm not considering my self one of the best. I understand you want this clan to be quality not quantity but considering many of these players are very skilled and would get rejected because they cant get 8 points would just be unnatural. I practice enough to make my skill become superior; I am not saying my skill is superior to other players but if some one is better than you the natural reaction is to practice and practice and think of new tactic's to pwn and continue to pwn the opponent so they will not have chance to win.

so in that case i don't think it would be fair for me to test them with a 1v1, but rather judge them off there skill. I think tons of players have the skill and potential that i used to have and are continuing to get much better every day. I even think that we should try to make a trainee tag; that would balance out the system a little more depending on the amount of apps we get. Me and and black zap have been finding some exceptional recruits for the clan lately. the clan should be hard to get into but 1v1ing your best `:vZ members wont do loll. I think having your best players judge there skill would do a little better.

its up to you! if u want the clan to grow a bit more you should trust me and zaps way. I understand were most likely the only ones u trust doing 1v1 but u should trust are opinions as well.

`:vZ has been getting a lot of respect lately; and not to mention being well known in every tron division. the clan doesn't look weak at all, if i do say so my self.... Plus its very depressing seeing no members on... Ive been having the time of my life seeing a bunch of pro players play along side me and zap. I would hate to have to 1v1 every member in vZ lmao that would be tiresome and I would hate to lose them all if they so happened to lose. the clan would just be ME...... YOU...... and ZAP.......... ROFL very depressing man... very depressing..

This is very interesting. I think fujistu has a good point. but of course someone is going to have to be right or wrong. i think a good idea would be python or blackzap test the player that is apping for the clan vz. if they make the applicant makes it to 8 against the tester they are automatically accepted. if they dont make it to 8 then maybe the clan can vote the applicant in if they think he still has what it takes to join the clan since people generally know how other tron members play. this sounds like a good combination of both ideas and that way nobodys feelings get hurt and feel bad about themselves. we dont want to hurt peoples self esteem here... (some people take this game real seriously) so i think my idea is swag! what about you guys.

I TOTALLY THINK tht what fuji had to say is right. I don't think that we should be testing applicants based on if they can reach 9 points. I think we should just be testeing them on 3 things. Trapping, Escaping, and Personality. I mean, who gives a fack if they have to reach 9 points. I think that we should just do what we did earlier when py tested me. And fuji. The Hr Test you have to fight Me Zap or Ryon in a 1v1 to 9 points if you lose your not accepted in vZ hr division; DF test ill test you off your skill this seems more fair to me i had to think about it i now see where Ryon was going with this.

Maybe we should just spec players instead? We could watch them and see if they have the skills or not instead. Thats my opinion anyway.

Can i be like a temporary df leader cause idk wth happend to blackzap, he rarely logs on and people have apps waiting...
